Litigation Department

The Law Firm has a substantial litigation department with involvement in criminal and civil litigation including Banking and Loan Recoveries, Insurance claims of all types including workman’s compensation, industrial accidents and road traffic accidents, commercial litigation arising from commercial disputes, Labour and Employment Law, Constitutional law and Judicial Review, Election Law, Contract Law, Tort Law, Landlord and Tenant law, Debt Collection among others.

Notable Assignments handled by the Partners in this area are;

• Successfully represented Banks in the recovery of bad debts to the tune of millions
• Successfully represented an IT company in the collection of Kshs. 1,300,000.

• Represented a private client in a petition filed against the Kenya Revenue Authority for a debt recovery of over 67,000,000.00 in tax arrears
• Represented the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in various Election Petitions after the 2017 general elections.
• Handled several tenancy disputes before the Business Premises Rent Tribunal for individual clients.
